Germany will select it’s Eurovision entry on February 25th via Unser Lied für Stockholm after canceling the participation of Xavier Naidoo. Ten acts will perform at the Köln-Mülheim Studios in Cologne and the show will be hosted by Barbara Schöneberger. The winner will be chosen solely by public televote. One of the contestants is Laura Pinski.

Hello Laura! You are young and aspiring artist. Can you introduce yourself a bit to our readers?

Hi guys, my name is Laura Pinski, I am 19 years old and I’m from Germany. Last year I did my A levels and now I’m studying law at the University in Düsseldorf. My hobbies, beside singing, are playing the piano & guitar, shopping, meeting my friends and reading books.

Your song is penned by Ralph Siegel. How it was working with him? Can you tell us something about the song?

It is such a big pleasure to work with Ralph. He’s not just an amazing composer but also a great person with a big heart. My song is called “Under The Sun We Are One” and deals with the topics of war and peace and how all human beings should be nice to each other because at the end of the day we are all the same and should care about and love each other 🙂

Have you heard any other song from the Unser Lied für Stockholm? Who do you think will be your biggest competitor?

Yes, I know most of them. That’s a hard question because I think that every single one of my competitors is really amazing and has a great individuality.

Can you imagine what will happen if you win the German national final and go to Stockholm to represent the country?

I have to admit that I didn’t think about it yet. But if this would really be the case I would probably just smile from ear to ear and be the happiest girl in the world 🙂

Please, tell us few of your favorite Eurovision entries?

My favorites are Lena with Satellite, Edurne with Amanecer, Jedward with Lipstick, Getter Jaani with Rockefeller Street and Suzy with Quera Ser Tua.

In the end, would you mind revealing our readers one detail about you that is not commonly known?

When I was little I was like the biggest Shakira fan on Earth and I tried to dance like her and to learn the words to her songs. Of course I couldn’t speak English but it didn’t matter, I just sang in a kind of imaginary language and it made me happy 😀

Laura, thank you so much for this chat.

I was more than glad. All the best to you and all of your followers.
