Starting from August 30th to October 22nd Suspilne Broadcaster accepts songs from artists that wish to participate in Vidbir this season.
The Head Producer of Ukraine’s Vidbir will remain Dmytro Shnurov for the second year in a row. He pointed out that artists have almost 8 weeks to create a winning song that will decently represent Ukraine in Eurovision.
After songs are submitted, there will be a longlist of 20 artists formed. After that, artists are expected to audition in person. 10 artists will be selected after this stage of selection and then the public wildcard round will begin to select another finalist.
The final of the selection will take place in February 2024. Similarly to previous years, the winner will be chosen through jury and audience voting. The lineup of jury members will be also formed through online voting.
It is worth noting that 68th Eurovision contest will be held in Malmo, Sweden and the grand final of contest will be in May 2024.
This year, Ukraine finished in 6th place with 243 points thanks to Tvorchi band with their track ‘Heart of Steel’.
