We are now reaching the final few weeks of the national final season, and tonight sees us move to over half of this year’s songs being confirmed for Liverpool. With five shows across Europe, including two finals, it is an action-packed evening of music across the continent.
But, what to watch? Let us hopefully take some of the sting out of that decision for #YOU…
🇫🇮 FINLAND – Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2023 (starts 20:00 CET)
While it feels like the songs have been out for an age now, it’s finally time to find out who will represent Finland in this year’s contest as the final of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu takes place at the Logomo cultural venue in Turku.
Seven songs will compete for the right to go to Liverpool and fly the blue cross, and they are;
- Robin Packalen – Girls Like You
- Kuuma – Ylivoimainen
- Käärijä – Cha Cha Cha
- Keira – No Business on the Dancefloor
- Benjamin – Hoida mut
- Lxandra – Something to Lose
- Portion Boys – Samaa taivasta katsotaan
A combination of international juries (25%) and a Finnish televote (75%) will decide Finland’s entry for Eurovision 2023.

🇮🇸 ICELAND – Söngvakeppnin Semi-Final 2 (starts 20:45 CET)
The second semi-final of Söngvakeppnin 2023 is here! Five more acts will take to the stage hoping to reach next weekend’s final;
- Kristín Sesselja – Óbyggðir
- Langi Seli og Skuggarnir – OK
- Silja Rós & Kjalar – Ég styð þína braut
- Úlfar – Betri maður
- Sigga Ózk – Gleyma þér og dansa
Televoting alone will decide which two of the five acts will reach the final, with Icelandic viewers having the option of voting using phone or via the RÚV app.

🇵🇹 PORTUGAL – Festival da Canção Semi-Final 1 (starts 22:00 CET)
Another of Europe’s iconic national selection shows finally kicks off this evening, with Portugal’s Festival da Canção taking place. Ten acts are in the running in tonight’s semi-final;
- Moyah – Too Much Sauce
- Bolha – Sonhos de liberdade
- April Ivy – Modo voo
- Churky – Encruzilhada
- Cláudia Pascoal – Nasci Maria
- SAL – Viver
- Mimicat – Ai coração
- You Can’t Win, Charlie Brown – Contraste mudo
- Neon Soho – Endless World
- Esse Povo – Sapatos de cimento
Five songs will qualify for the final through a combination of jury and televoting.

🇸🇲 SAN MARINO – Una Voce per San Marino 2023 (starts 21:00 CET)
After a marathon week with a staggering 106 acts competing to reach the final, we now have the last competitors standing for this year’s Una Voce per San Marino. Which one will be chosen tonight?
