Tonight, two shows will take place in Europe as both Lithuania and Norway enter the second week of their Eurovision 2021 search. In a week that saw another familiar face return to the contest in Rotterdam, and more details emerge about the format of the contest itself in May, it was perhaps the return of one particular group that overshadowed most news…
🇱🇹 LITHUANIA – Pabandom iš naujo! Heat 2 (20:00 CET)
The second heat of Lithuania’s selection will be aired this evening, with another 10 acts hoping to make it to next week’s semi-final. Ramūnas Zilnys, Vytautas Bikus, Gerūta Griniūtė and Stanislavas Stavickis-Stano will preside over the jury votes, while the other half of the result will be decided by the Lithuanian public.
The ten acts in tonight’s show are;
- UnoBand – Eisiu
- Rapolas – Degam
- Sunday Afternoon – Open
- Aistė Brokenleg – Home
- Cosmic Bride – Solitary Star
- Norbertas – Man in Need
- Gebrasy – Where’d You Wanna Go
- Evita Cololo – Be paslapčių
- Gabrielius Vagelis – My Guy
- Gabrielė Goštautaitė – Freedom
Only five of these acts will make it to next week’s semi-final show, joining Be U, Titas & Benas, Martyna Jezepčikaitė, Milita Daikerytė and Voldemars Petersons.
Of course, one of the big stories of the week involved the final in Lithuania, as last year’s winners The Roop revealed their long-awaited entry “Discoteque”. Will any of tonight’s act exceed their hype?

🇳🇴 NORWAY – Melodi Grand Prix Semi-Final 2 (19:50 CET)
Four more acts will take to the stage in Fornebu tonight, as a hotly-contested Melodi Grand Prix continues. The acts include a familiar face from last year’s competition, and an even more familiar face from the golden ages of Eurovision!
The four competing songs are;
- Daniel Owen – Psycho
- Ketil Stokkan – My Life is OK
- Maria Solheim – Nordlyset
- Raylee – Hero
Tonight’s show will also see the live performance of another prequalified entry, as Stavangerkameratene perform “Barndomsgater” for the first time. Only one of the above acts will be joining them in the final, with potential for another joining as a wildcard at a later date.
