Have we all recovered from Saturday night? If not then you might need to prepare yourself for more action, as tonight sees the third and final Baltic nation choose their Eurovision entry.
And there’s high stakes with this one. While Lithuania and Estonia chose their entries on Saturday knowing they had only missed one final (in 2014), their Latvian neighbours have a much more daunting task – the nation has failed to qualify six years in a row, longer than any other nation (except Czech Republic, who didn’t take part for a while). As a result, tonight’s decision in Latvia is very important!
Four songs remain in Supernova, the Baltic country’s new and improved selection method that replaced the failing Eirodziesma. Will any of these songs take Latvia back to the final? Or is it going to be another year of sorrow for the country? Perhaps after tonight we’ll have a better idea!
The participants in Latvia’s final are;
- Aminata – Love Injected
- MNTHA – Nefelibata
- ElectroFolk – Sundance
- Markus Riva – Take Me Down
The top two songs will qualify via televoting to the superfinal where it will be a head-to-head battle for the Latvian ticket to Vienna. Supernova’s final takes place at 20:00 CET and you can watch it live HERE.
