The last batch of emerging artists competed at Una Voce per San Marino tonight, but this semi was just for the home team.
Over the past three nights, 60 international up-and-comers took their first steps toward representing San Marino at Eurovision 2022. Tonight, things were a little different. As opposed the 20 acts that competed each previous show, only six acts competed at tonight’s semi-final … all of them local, Sanmarinese talent. They were:
- Alibi, with the song “Cambiamento”
- Elisa Mazza, with the song “Gonna Do Me”
- Garon x Duan, with the song “Power”
- Giada Pintori, with the song “Luce e Tenebre”
- Ginevra Bencivenga, with the song “Calma Apparente”
- Giulia Vitri, with the song “Father and Son”
After all six acts performed both their potential Eurovision entries and a cover song of their choice, the jury selected the three who would advance to Friday’s Emerging Artist final. They were:
- Giulia Vitri (🇸🇲) with the song “Father and Son”
- Giada Pintori (🇸🇲)with the song “Luce e Tenebre”
- Garon x Duan (🇸🇲) with the song “Power”
Giulia Vitri is currently raising a large family and working at a hospital in Rimini. Her performance of “Father and Son” is below”

Tomorrow night, the 4th-8th place finishers from the first three nights of Una Voce per San Marino will face off in the Second Chance round, with the top four acts moving on to Friday night’s Emerging Artist final. Among those competing tomorrow night are ESCZ runner-up Elis Mraz, former 1 in 360 finalist Sebastian Schmidt, and Eurovision 2014 backing singer Kurt Cassar. Of the 16 acts competing in the Emerging Artist final on Friday, nine will move on to the Grand Final of Una Voce per San Marino on Saturday night. There, they will compete against the 10 previously announced established artists, including Sanremo 2010 winner Valerio Scanu and regular Sanremo enfant terrible Achille Lauro.
Which of the acts that advanced tonight did #YOU like the most? Is it just me, or did Giulia Vitri’s outfit remind #YOU SO MUCH of Dawn the apprentice jockey? Sound off in the comments below, in our forum, or on social media @ESCUnited.
