Just a few days ago SVT and the EBU showcased the official stage for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in all of its glory. The stage was designed by Eurovision stage designer Florian Wieder and Fredrik Stormby who is the light and screen content designer for the contest.
As was envisioned in the initial renderings, the stage features a number of features for the artists and delegations to take advantage of, including five moveable LED cubes that can be lowered from the ceiling at varying heights.

In addition, a number of additional squares that have lights affixed to them can also be raised and lowered from the ceiling to add to an artist’s performance. According to the EBU there are a total of 2,168 light fixtures used to make the Eurovision stage shine. The production team needed a total of four weeks to pre-program all of these lights.
The final crowning glory for the stage is the 340 square meter LED screen that will support the acts from behind, and the 186 square meter LED floor in the shape of a cross.
We will continue to see how all of these elements can come together throughout the week as each Eurovision acts begins their rehearsals.
