Fresh off of her 8th place finish at Eurovision last month, Amanda Georgiadis Tenfjord graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology today with a degree in medicine. (Though she represented Greece at the contest, the Greek-born singer moved with her family to Norway at the age of three.) She announced the news on her social media accounts.

Amanda has been studying medicine since 2015, taking a brief break in 2019 to focus on her music career. As ESC United previously reported, she spent the majority of the pandemic interning at a hospital in Norway that specialized in the treatment of Covid-19.

Fans of Amanda need not worry … she’s not ditching music for a career in the medical field. Far from it. Tickets are already on sale on her website for her 2023 European tour.
