Back in late July, Spain’s Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE) announced that Melani García would be representing them in the 2019 Junior Eurovision Contest. And on Friday, RTVE teased the first minute of her song “Marte” on the official Junior Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.
The song features García’s amazing vocal range through a song that fuses a pop ballad with an opera-inspired runs and jumps throughout the verses and chorus. Before the track cuts out, you can distinctly hear a taste for talent as an Operatic Soprano I.
Based upon the reactions from all those present in the video, it appears that García and company are very happy with the final product. #YOU can catch the teaser video below:
García is Spain’s first entrant in JESC since 2006, when they sent Dani Fernández and the song “Te doy mi voz.” There is a lot of pressure on the country, as they have placed in the top 4 of the contest through their participation in 2003-2006, and even won the contest in 2004. It seems that it’s up to García to defend that high placing record.
