Switzerland needs you! It’s 4 November, and voting for SRF’s three entries for the Swiss National Final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 has begun.
You can cast your vote on the SRF Voting Platform in German. Registration on the site is required, which includes entering your e-mail address, name, birthday, and country. Instructions are also available in French, Italian, and English if you don’t understand German.
Voting will be open until 18 November. Points gathered from the online voting platform will be combined with votes from an expert jury. The top nine will move on to the next round to face another expert jury, who will whittle down the entries to three. SRF’s top three will be joined with two entries from French broadcaster RTS, and one entry from Italian broadcaster RSI. The six finalists will compete on 1 February in Kreuzlingen to represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen.
Fans on ESC United’s Switzerland 2014 forum are already weighing in on their favorites.
“Maria Christina with her Diva would rock the stage, while Yasmina Hurzinger and her ‘I still believe‘ would charm the audience just in few seconds so I think they are the most optional choices from all of those 150 videos,” said user Yoosek.
User Zorjan, on the other hand, isn’t convinced of Annet Artani’s entry. “I’ve sadly changed my mind; Annet Artani shouldn’t make it to Copenhagen. Her song is terrible ! Annoying that she waste such a talent on such a bad entry.” Artani previously represented Cyprus in Eurovision 2006.
Daria Kinzer joins Annet Artani on the list of previous Eurovision contestants trying their luck with Switzerland’s selection. Daria Kinzer, who represented Croatia in Eurovision 2011, has entered with “Somebody like you“.
Meanwhile, voting for French Broadcaster RTS is also currently underway. Check out the entries on their platform here.
These entries are just a few of the 159 up for the public vote. Who are your favorites so far? Discuss with other fans on the forum, or leave a comment here. Don’t forget to vote for the entry you’d like to see the most in Copenhagen!
