RTVE, the Spanish broadcaster, has officially launched its selection process for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023, which is being held in Nice, France.
Spain has opened the application window for performers between the ages of nine and fourteen to apply to represent the country. The singers will have the chance to apply until June 26, at which time, the application window will close. These performers will need to fill out a form here on the RTVE official website.
Once the initial casting call has terminated, the received submissions will be reviewed by a jury, with the best participants invited to an in-person casting round in Madrid in July. The in-person audition will be held at the start of July, the winner of this round will represent Spain in France. This selection process follows the same format as the one introduced in 2022.

This is the ninth occasion in which Spain participates in the competition. Carlos Higes represented Spain in Yerevan finishing in 6th place with a total of 137 points.
