Slovenia waited until the very last minute (including a 10 day extention) to confirm its participation in Copenhagen. Earlier this morning they advised that they would indeed join the party bringing up the total of participating countries to 37.
The Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO also confirmed that EMA will return. The popular selection format was used in the past to find the next Eurovision representative, however in 2013 they opted for an internal selection.
Additional information on the rules will be released in due time but considering that a few hours ago we weren’t even sure if Slovenia would even take part, the news about an National Finals comes as a big (and pleasant surprise).
