RTS are allegedly set to put aside €50,000 just on marketing and promotion for Serbia’s Eurovision entry in 2015, suggesting that the broadcaster are back in it to win it!
Saša Mirković will work with Vladimir Graić to find Serbia’s returning entry and the former explains what Serbia’s €200,000 fee for Eurovision 2015 will break down into;
‘RTS called me and Graić to help find Serbia’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest as a kind of deserved reward for the success we have achieved with “Molitva”. I can tell you that Marija and I spent a lot of money on promotion and we have a lot of experience in this competition. Most countries spend a small fortune just to promote their participants.”
Serbia joins Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus and Bulgaria as returnees in 2015 and it seems that the Balkan nation wants to come back with a bang. Graić will once again write the Serbian entry after he successfully wrote 2007’s winning song “Molitva”. Three singers will be invited to perform three songs written by Graić and the public will decide which song will represent Serbia in 2015. It seems with RTS, however, that the eventual winner will be in safe hands, and is likely to fulfil a promotional tour of Europe before the contest.
