We didn’t have almost any official news coming from Serbian broadcaster RTS, but it all paid up, as Sanja Vučić was chosen to represent the country.
By now most of you have met with her amazing vocal capabilities, what is one of the things that is making her and the song Goodbye (Shelter) one of the bookies favorites.
We got a chance to make an interview with her, so you get to meet her a bit more.
Hello Sanja, thank you so much for your time. Did you start with preparations for Stockholm? Can you tell us something about your performance that we will see on the Eurovision stage?
Hey hey guys! Yes, preparations are just starting in this period. I’ve found out some initial informations about the performance, which is still in the conceptual design, but what I’ve heard and how I’ve imagined it, I really like it. Very good team of people are working on the performance, so I do not worry about how it will look.
Will Eurovision fans get the opportunity to see you perform on some of the pre Eurovision events, like Concert in Amsterdam, London party, or somewhere else?
Well, certainly. We are planning to visit the event in Riga, Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam and also Austria. I’m very excited, I feel that there’s a very busy period ahead, but at the same time I’m very fulfilling and full of positive experiences.
You have experience with festivals, but Eurovision is probably the biggest festival in the world. Are you aware what is waiting for you there?
The people and staff around me who have more experience with the Eurovision are saying me that this is the best thing that can happen to a performer. I believe them, but I can not imagine what awaits me there and how I’ll deal with it. I guess I’ll have to learn how everything works on the go.
Stockholm is a wonderful city. For what will you definitely take the time to visit there?
I am very excited that I will visit Stockholm. I’m already slowly making a list of the sights that I want visit. On the list are already Nobel Museum, Royal Swedish Opera building (once upon a time I had a desire to be an opera diva) and of course Skansen.
Did you have some time to listen to the other entries from this years contest?
Also, what is your ultimate favorite Eurovision song?
I’ve heard a lot of the other songs. I must say that all of them are peculiar and unique in their own individual way.
Of course, I have favorites, some of the songs are more appropriate to my sensibilities than the others.
My ultimate favorite Eurovision song is Jan Jan by Inga and Anush. 🙂
And in the end, would you be kind enough to tell our readers something about yourself, that is not commonly known?
Sure! Not many people know that I am a fanatical fan of the comic book Dylan Dog. I’ve got a hefty collection which is getting bigger every day.
Sanja, thank you so much for your. I’m looking forward meeting you in Stockholm.
It was a true pleasure. See you in Stockholm and till then I send all my love to you and your readers!
