We now know which half of the Grand Final all of this year’s qualifying acts will perform in!
At tonight’s post-show press conference, the 10 entries that made it out of semi-final two drew for their slots. Czech Republic, Finland, and Romania will be performing in the first half of Saturday night’s show, with Belgium, Azerbaijan, Poland, Estonia, Australia, Sweden, and Serbia slated to perform in the show’s second half.
Tonight’s qualifying artists were in good spirits during the press conference. We Are Domi of Czech Republic gave a shout out to North Macedonia’s artist Andrea, saying that they have bonded with her on the pre-party circuit and will miss her at the Grand Final. Krystian Ochman of Poland spoke about the influence his grandfather, legendary Polish tenor Wiesław Ochman, had on his singing career. Australia’s Sheldon Riley teared up while discussing the impact Conchita Wurst made on the worldwide LGBT community.
Now that halves have been drawn, show producers will be hard at work crafting Saturday night’s running order. So far, the only think known for certain is that Italy will be performing 9th. Stay tuned to ESC United to find out the Grand Final running order as soon as it’s announced.
