For the fourth time San Marino will look to select it’s Eurovision artist through the international talent search and national final Una Voce per San Marino.

The application to participate on the show is now open, and can be found on the official Una Voce per San Marino website and closes on December 31st, 2024. Any interested artist, duo, or band can apply to participate in the festival regardless of nationality, but will need to send in an audio sample for evaluation. This does not need to be their intended Eurovision song.

The regulations reveal a few more interesting points about the show’s process for international applicants which will once again include a virtual casting process for anyone who does not live in San Marino, Switzerland, Italy, France, Austria, or Slovenia.

The casting process is said to take place between September 2024 and January 2025, where the jury will select no more than 80 artists to compete in the semi-finals, with only 11 making it to the Grand Final in February. The winner of Una Voce per San Marino will win the right to represent San Marino at Eurovision 2025 in Switzerland.

Last year San Marino were represented by the Spanish band Megara, who placed 14th in the second semi-final with the song “11:11”. It was the 11th time that the country had failed to qualify for the final in their 14 years of participating in Eurovision.
