The public broadcaster of the small state of San Marino, SMTV San Marino, has revealed directly to ESC United that there has been no decision made about participation in 2015 and nothing concrete has been decided yet, despite strong hints from Valentina Monetta that she would not be returning to represent her country for a fourth year.

San Marino took part for the first time in 2008 but did not enter again until the 2011 contest in Germany. Since 2012, the nation has been represented by Valentina Monetta, who made the country become the first microstate to qualify for the final this year in Copenhagen, with “Maybe”.

Rumours suggest that her successor may be San Marino’s sole JESC participant Michele Perniola, who would be of age to take part next year in Vienna.
