Moments ago, the rumours that have been flying around about Sergey Lazarev representing Russia in Stockholm have been confirmed!

The 33 year old Russian superstar is tipped almost every year to be the Russian singer, but never came true until tonight! Sergey has been selected internally by the Russian TV channel in hope fo going one place better than his predecessor, Poina Gagarina, who ended 2nd in Vienna with her song “A Million Voices”. Russia have pulled out all the stops this year by sending one of their biggest stars to Eurovision.

Sergey was formerly a member of the band Smash! later went solo and has had a very successful career. The song is currently unknown, but stick with us for more information as and when it is announced!

      I agree, I just listened to his song and its great. I also have high hopes for Vincent Gross to qualify from the Swiss national selection

      I havent listened to Sergey’s song if he has selected one, but i am going off his former songs. All his formers are great i believe
