After weeks of speculation as to whether Russia will have a representative in Austria next May, due to political intervention and many people stating that they should not participate due to Conchita Wurst winning the 2014 Contest last month. The national broadcaster of Russia have announced that they will be present in Austria next may and the singer will likely be selected though ‘The Voice Russia’, which will begin in September.
The remaining countries still have six months to confirm their participation and Russia is the latest country to announce that they will participate in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. Russia were represented by the Tolmachevy Sisters in Copenhagen last month and ended 7th in the Final.
