Here we are again for another round of predictions! We’ve counted up your votes, we’ve compiled our lists of qualifiers and we’re ready to take back the title from the readers!

On Tuesday, the readers “televote” results were slightly more accurate than ours, but we feel pretty confident today!

Once again we were astounded at the response to our poll so thank you very much to all who took the time to vote. Let’s see what the assembled international jury of Team Stockholm predicted…

There was quite a lot of variance in the jury once again but there were two clear favourites, Ukraine and Australia. To get a combined ranking we had to convert our lists into Eurovision points. For example, 1st gets 12 points, 2nd gets 10 and so on right down until 1 point for the predicted 10th place country.

We compared this to the results of the readers poll which you all voted in! This is listed as the televote in the below table, which also shows how much of a gap between the ‘televote’ predictions and ‘jury’ predictions there is.

There were two major points of split opinion, Bulgaria and Belgium. In both cases we believe the countries will finish 5 places lower than predicted by the readers, although we still believe Bulgaria is a qualifier. We also think Belarus will do much better than the readers’ expectations and is a qualifier for our team. Overall, we agreed on eight qualifiers; we would swap Belgium and Lithuania for (FYR) Macedonia and Belarus.

We should find out in a number of hours who was correct, and we will be back to cover the results! If you cannot get to a TV, make sure to watch tonight’s show on eurovision.tv or click HERE. The show begins at 21:00 CET.
