Ahead of this weekend’s French selection for Eurovision 2021, we wanted to get to know the artists a little better, and learn what drove them to participate in the competition.

Today, Pony X with the infamous horse head of C’est vous qui décidez talked about their entry “Amour Fou” and what they plan for the show on Saturday!

Hi Pony X! Thank you for taking the time to talk to us. How are you preparing yourself for the big day? Can you give us some details about your performance?

We have been in the studio for 15 days to redo our choreography and prepare the voice, because our song is not easy to perform.

Unfortunately, we prefer to keep this a secret, let’s just say it’s gonna be huge!

What led you to take part in the French national selection for Eurovision?

The Eurovision Song Contest is our chance to introduce our project to as many people as possible, and why not represent France with it?

What message do you want to share with “Amour Fou”?

With “Amour Fou” we want to show that we can do electro with a French touch and also sing in French, which is rarer in this style.

And finally, what’s your favorite Eurovision song, and your favorite French Eurovision song?

Our favorite Eurovision song would probably be “Ne partez pas sans moi” (by Céline Dion, 1988) and… “Papa Pingouin“??? (by Sophie & Magaly, Luxembourg 1980).

Thanks a lot for your time Pony X. We wish you the best for Eurovision France – C’est vous qui décidez!

Pony X will take part in this weekend’s Eurovision France – C’est vous qui décidez with the song “Amour Fou”, hoping to represent France in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam.
