The Eurovision selection season has officially begun, as Czechia’s national selection ESCZ 2024 kicked off yesterday in the Roxy Club in Prague.
This year’s selection marks the sixth time that broadcaster Česká Televize has utilized an online national final format to select their Eurovision entrant, and each year has led to resounding successes for the country. Since moving away from an internal selection the country has qualified for the grand final 4 out of their last 5 participations – with both Mikolas Josef (2018) and Vesna (2023) landing in the top 10.
This year seven hopefuls are competing to represent Czechia in Malmo for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, and last night we listened to the live performances of their potential Eurovision entries. This begs our favorite question: Who do #YOU think should win ESCZ 2024? You can vote for as many artists as you like, but you can only vote one time so think carefully before you submit!
Also don’t forget to cast your vote for your favorite act to secure their pathway to Eurovision! Voting is currently open through Monday December 11th at 23:59 PM CET via the Eurovision app HERE, The winner will be decided via 100% public vote consisting of 70% international online voters and 30% Czech online voters. The results will be announced by the Czech broadcaster on Tuesday, 12th December.
