Now & Then: Luara represented Armenia in the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Where is she now?

In a new group of editorials taking a look at the past and present of Junior Eurovision Song Contest entrants, we will be checking out what the former JESC contestants are up to now and how far they have come since representing their nation in the Junior edition of Europe’s favourite TV show.

In this edition we will be taking a look at the 2009 representative of Armenia, Luara Hayrapetyan, who represented her nation with the song “Barcelona” in Kiev, Ukraine.

Luara began singing at the age of four, although she is most well-known for her participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest where she became a favourite with her song “Barcelona”. Luara was born in Russia, although she is of Armenian origin and grew up in Armania and participated in a number of contests prior to JESC. Since her participation in Kiev’s Junior Eurovision Luara has not given up on her music, she has, in fact, gone the extra mile and in 2011 even moved to L.A., USA to concentrate on her musical career, where she has spent a lot of time in the studio.
