Oooooh. He’s a he’s a fallen angel. Norwegians sensation Andreas “Tix” Haukeland has taken the stage in his first rehearsal, and you can read all about it in the summary below:

Country: Norway (#NOR)
Act: TIX
Song: “Fallen Angel”
Semifinal: First (18/05/2021)
Position in Running Order: 09/16

Since there’s a National Final performance of “Fallen Angel”, we will focus on pointing out the differences between that performance and the Eurovision version.

For the most part, the performance is identical to the one we saw in MGP. The biggest difference is the lighting, as the darkness of the Norwegian staging has been substituted by a sky blue palette, which later turns into pale golden light. Frankly, I think it looks very appealing and dreamy. The camera angles succeed at bringing out the struggle between “Fallen Angel” Tix and his demon dancers, adding another layer of fun theatrics.

During the later performances, Tix’s voice becomes a little bit shaky. The effect of grabbing an extra rehearsal?

Overall, a solid entry  from Norway, who manage to successfully transition their entry from a National Final setting onto a bigger Eurovision stage.
