Montenegro is more and more developing as a rebellion.
Today’s statement echoed RTCG from which it apparently be concluded that Montenegro is considering withdrawing from the Eurovision Song Contest. As biggest Montenegrin read-press news center “Vijesti” transfers, this Balkan country is considering an abstence from Eurovision that will take place in Ukraine next year.
Reason of the discussing the participation in 2017 isn’t the “bad” result of band Highway, who represent them this year, but the pre-publishing Jamala’s winning song as a ‘Our Crimea’ – now mostly known as ‘1944‘. They think that the Contest became too political and loosing it’s primary purpose.
With this, Montenegro express solidarity with those who are fundamentally opposed to the results of the Contest in Sweden. Especially from Russia bushes criticism since Ukraine became the winner after counting the votes of the jury and the audience.
We really hope that this is just currently and hope to see Montenegro again in 2017!
