Just a few days after Moldovan national broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova (TRM) revealed the titles and artists for their national selection, all 40 entries have been released to the public.
The songs can be reviewed on the TRM website here.
Familiar names on the list include Boris Covali, whose song “Runaways” came second place overall in last year’s national selection. Tatiana Heghea, who came eigth last year, sang alongside 2013 Moldovan entrant Aliona Moon as a backup singer for Pasha Parfeny in 2012.
These 40 songs will be trimmed down to just 24 by a seven-member jury. These live auditions, on 1 February, will be streamed live online. The 24 acts chosen will compete in two semi-finals, on 11 and 13 March. Eight songs from each semi-final will then perform in the grand final on 15 March to compete for the one spot to represent Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen.
