We have a host, for Melodifestivalen that is. Carina Berg will lead this year’s Melodifestivalen circus from Malmo to Stockholm!
Carina Berg is an award-winning presenter and journalist hailing from just outside Stockholm. She began her career on Sveriges Radio in the early 2000s, before starting on TV presenting on Swedish Idol in 2007. She has a wealth of presenting experience in Sweden and is known widely across the country.
Carina will follow in the footsteps of previous presenters Farah Abadi, Jesper Ronndhal, and Oscar Zia to take the reins of the Swedish circus. She will be the first solo presenter of the show since 2009 when fan-favourite Petra Mede presented.
Carina speaks on how honoured she is to be hosting the contest saying it’s her biggest TV production and she cannot wait to start. Project manager Anders Wistbacka said they were looking for a presenter with a capital P, someone big who is ready to lead the show warmly.
