Switzerland has chosen their entry for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest and it is Melanie Rene with the song “Time To Shine”
The six Finalists went through multiple Selection Stages which included an Expert check where the songs were narrowed down from 18 to the Lucky 6. “Die Grosse Entscheidungsshow” was full of music and fun. First, the Finalists performed their song and after that it was Karaoke time where each act had to cover a song.
In the end Melanie was victorious and get to perform in Vienna this May. Switzerland will perform in the Second Semi Final to take place on May 21st. You can listen to the winning song below.
Mélanie René was born into a musical family. She learned to play the piano when she was child and started composing songs at the age of nine. Melanie performed on Romanian TV and already won a music competition. Her victory tonight is definitely her biggest accomplishment to date.
The winner was determined by the combination of televoting (50%) and the votes of an expert jury (50%).
