In a meeting held yesterday, the special committee by the Israeli Broadcasting Association selected singer Mei Finegold to represent Israel in Copenhagen 2014.
Mei has confirmed the news and said she was certain that she would qualify and proceed to the Eurovision final. “I am not considering the possibility I will not make it to the final, I’m not even mentally preparing myself to that option” she said.
Mei burst into the Israeli music scene when she appeared in the Israeli version of American Idol (Kochav Nolad).
During the show, she was distinguished for her unique voice and established herself as a rock performer.
After placing 3rd in Kochav Nolad, she released a studio album and appeared in several Israeli theater productions. Mei is currently working on her 2nd studio album.
