With the huge news from France earlier this week taking the spotlight, we shouldn’t forget anyone else. Tonight saw the 3rd week of the Malta Eurovision special edition of the program “XOW“.
Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024 – XOW Week 3
As it has been the past two weeks, it’s also the same format once again for week 3. Another 9 songs got their shot in the spotlight, with viewers having the chance to vote as well during the show, once all the songs had been performed.
Since it was the 3rd week, that means now we are familiar with 27 out of the total 36 songs, which are in contention to represent Malta in Malmö, Sweden next year.
Tonight’s 9 acts were as follow(performing order):
- Jessica Micallef – “Tagħna Tnejn”
- Cosette Baldacchino – “Free Fall”
- Michaela Galea – “Let’s Talk About Love”
- Thea Aquilina – “Blood Stream”
- Miguel Bonello – “Better Off Alone”
- Moira Starface – “Feather Flight”
- Dan – “Baraxx”
- Stefan Galea – “Numb”
- Karin Duff – “Breaking Bad”
Viewers who have gotten to learn the theme of the program, would know by now, that it’s not just singing and competition, but also wholeheartedly fun among everyone involved. Today we could witness some fun among the competing acts, competing in a quiz, and a tricky tongue twister challenge as well. Anyone who were able to do the tongue twisters correctly, ended with a rather creamy surprise to their faces.
Tonight also had a happy surprise from none other than The Busker who represented Malta earlier this year in Liverpool, where they got to perform their new song “Bulletproof“.
As a reminder, the results of the heats will first be revealed on the 5th week, which is set to be aired on the 24th of November. Until then, all acts can just hope and pray that they impressed viewers enough, in order to advance to the final.
