Lithuania has decided against competing in the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in France. The national public broadcaster, LRT, made the announcement in late May in a short statement.

Lithuania made its JESC debut in 2007 peaking at third in the 2008 competition in Cyprus. In 2012, citing cost constraints and low viewership, LRT declined to send a delegation and have not participated since.

Lithuania placed eleventh in Eurovision 2023 and fans will have to wait until the summer for confirmation from LRT that the Baltic fan favourite will be going to Sweden in 2024.
