On Saturday the sixteen final songs in the Lithaunian National Final were made public. Amongst the 16 songs, one of them is written by two Maltese songwriters.

 

Alison Ellul and Elton Zarb, no strangers to the Eurovision Song Contest National Selections. Alison has participated a number of times in the Maltese selection as a singer (part of Ali & Lis) more recently in Malta Eurosong 2011 with her song ‘Numb. Elton Zarb is a well known songwriter in Malta and most recently is known for writing the winning song for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 for Gaia Cauchi, the song ‘The Start’ won the junior edition back in November, bringing the Eurovision trophy to Malta for the first time. Zarb also has two songs in the Maltese selection for 2014; ‘Brand New Day’ performed by Davinia, and ‘Until We Meet Again’ performed by Deborah C.

 

The Maltese songwriters have penned ‘It’s Al About A Boy’ which LRT have decided will be in the final 16 for Eurovijos 2014, which is currently in 6th place in the voting.
