The song is co-written by Frédéric Château, who also writes for Patricia Kaas, Florent Pagny and M Pokora and Barbara Pravi. About Lissandro

13 year old Lissandro Formica from the small village of Moselle in the East of France is well-known from his participation on season 7 of the French version of “The Voice Kids.” It was at the age of 5 that Lissandro fell in love with music. Thanks to his dad, he discovered Elvis Presley who became his idol. Which also earned him the nickname “Elvissandro”. For his blind audition, he decided to perform “Too Much” from Elvis Presley and ended up in team Jenifer. He made it to the Grand Final of the show, where he got eliminated by the winner of season 7 Rébecca Sayaque.

“ We saw a dozen talents ,” explains Alexandra Redde-Amiel , head of the French delegation of Eurovision, referring to the selection process. ” Lissandro arrived with his universe, and we think it’s interesting to be able to offer something different, to show a new story. He has a real musical culture: his knowledge of American crooners is quite impressive. We really had a huge crush on him! ”

Talking with Junioreurovision.tv, Lissandro describes Junior Eurovision as the adventure of a lifetime: ‘I am very proud and honoured to represent France with my song, from both the pop and rock universe at the same time that I have always loved!

And what a pride to be part of the wonderful Eurovision family. I will give my best to make France’s colours shine.’

France at Junior Eurovision

After returning tot the contest in 2018, France decided to become a real powerhouse at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. They actually already debuted in 2014 with Thomas Pontier in Lillehammer. He ended up finishing in 6th place with his song “Si On Voulait Bien.” After their big break, France always end up in the top 5 with their entries, with even winning the contest in 2020 with Valentina and her song J’Imagine.

Last year, Enzo defended the trophy on home soil with his song “Tic Tac.” He finished in 3rd place in Paris with a grand total of 187 points.
