Krista Siegfrids said NO when she was offered to take part in Melodifestivalen, the popular Swedish music competition.

Krista Siegfrids is no stranger to the Eurovision world, the 29-year old star represented Finland in 2013 with the song “Marry Me”. However, the energetic singer decided not to take part. The question is: Why is that? Siegfrids explained:  “I was approached to take part but they wanted me to sing in Swedish but I have done this career decision to sing only in English. It just wasn’t the right song. It has to feel right or the performance won’t be good. So I declined”

Even though she decided not to take part this year, maybe we can hope for a return in 2016? For now, she’s busy taking part in the variety show Tähdet, tähdet so only time will tell.

While “Marry Me” has been her biggest charting hit to date, her single “Can You See Me” also climbed up high in the Finnish charts so we thought you may want to check it out. (If you haven’t done so already). Just scroll down to watch the video.
