The 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest is less than five months away, and the national selection process is in full force in some countries. In 3 days (28/06/2014) the Ukrainian song submission will close, the following day the judging panel will listen to the songs and begin whittling down the songs to just 18.

These 18 songs will join an additional 2 songs which will be chosen this Sunday through Music Academy Eurovision, which will be televised on Ukrainian broadcaster NTU.

When the 20 songs and acts have been selected, all acts will take part in a Junior Eurovision Camp, which will work on vocal coaching, choreography, and stage presentation. This camp is being organised in order to ensure the young singers will give teh best possible performance in the Ukrainian National Final which will be held on the 2nd of August 2014, when the act and song to represent Ukraine in Marsa, Malta on the 15th of November.

In 2013 Ukraine were represented by Sofia Tarasova with her song ‘We Are One’ which ended second in Kyiv, behind Gaia Cauchi who won the sontest for Malta with her song ‘The Start’.
