After a four year gap, Cypriot national TV company CyBC, have announced that they will return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year. Cyprus participated in the first ever Junior Eurovision Song Contest back in 2003 and have participated in six contests since then, Junior Eurovision Fans will happy to hear that they will participate for a seventh time in the contest, this year in Malta.

Cyprus hosted the contest back in 2008, which was the first time the Island nation had hosted an edition of Eurovision, that year Malta gained their most successful ranking until Gaia’s victory for Malta last year in Kyiv. Cyrpus will be hoping they can do the same in Malta and achieve their best position yet.

Cyprus were last present in Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 when they ended 11th when Rafaella Kosta sung ‘Thalassa, ilios, aeras, fotia’

Cyprus will return to Junior Eurovision Song Contest on the 15th of November in Marsa, Malta.
