A few days ago, it was announced that the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Madrid, Spain. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Spain’s national public broadcaster, Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE), are thrilled to reveal that the 22nd edition of the contest will take place in Spain later this year. This marks a historic moment, as RTVE will host the competition for the first time, following their impressive second-place finish in Nice last year.
However, as we look forward to the upcoming contest, it is also important to note that several broadcasters have already declined to return for JESC 2024.

- SBS (🇦🇺 Australia)
- NRK (🇳🇴Norway)
- SVT (🇸🇪Sweden)
- DR (🇩🇰 Denmark)
- LTV (🇱🇻Latvia)
- YLE (🇫🇮Finland)
- RTVSLO (🇸🇮Slovenia)
- TVR (🇷🇴Romania)
- VRT (🇧🇪Belgium)
- CRT (🇭🇷Croatia)
- KAN (🇮🇱Israel)
- RTL (🇱🇺Luxembourg, will not debut)
- ORF (🇦🇹Austria, will not debut)
As of now, the confirmed participating countries for the 2024 contest are:

- 🇫🇷France (France tv)
- 🇬🇪Georgia (GPB)
- 🇩🇪Germany (NDR)
- 🇮🇪Ireland (RTÉ)
- 🇮🇹Italy (RAI)
- 🇲🇹Malta (PBS)
- 🇳🇱Netherlands (AVROTROS)
- 🇵🇱Poland (TVP)
- 🇺🇦Ukraine (UA:PBC)
So far, LRT (🇱🇹Lithuania), has confirmed that they will air the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, a first since 2011.
