Junior Eurovision Song Contest seems to be the ideal place for new countries to try their hand at hosting the Junior version of the world’s largest song contest. This year will see Bulgaria host their first every Eurovision.

Italy, the winners if the 2014 contest have been debating and working on plans as to whether they will host the 2015 edition, today it came to light that last year’s debut winners have decided against hosting the 2015 edition. The honour of hosting has been passed on to the runners up in Marsa, Bulgaria. According to Junior Eurovision rules, the previous year’s winner has no official obligation host the contest after they win.

Many Eurovision fans were hoping that Bulgaria’s successful entry in Junior Eurovision would be a gateway for there to be a return to the adult version, although this was not the case, although with Bulgaria hosting the 2015 JESC, this could be a good sign for a return to ESC in 2016.
