While eight of the finalists for Sanremo Giovani were announced by RAI two weeks ago, the competition begins in earnest today with the public release of their competing songs and music videos.
Below you can have a listen to each of these eight competing songs, though keep in mind that four more finalists will be chosen this month in a parallel contest called Area Sanremo.

Last year, the winners of Sanremo Giovani were Yuman, Tananai, and Matteo Romano. While Yuman ranked first in this selection, at the Sanremo Music Festival the highest placement of the three went to Matteo Romano, a young artist from Cuneo whose career began with a viral song on TikTok. He placed 11th overall with the song Virale.
On December 16, this year’s finalists will compete for three spaces in the Sanremo Music Festival in February, and a chance to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest in May.
