Out of seemingly nowhere this evening, Wild Youth has dropped a new music video for Ireland’s 2023 Eurovision entry, “We Are One.” Crucially, it features a full revamp of the song.
In the video, band members Conor O’Donohoe, David Whelan, Callum McAdam and Ed Porter also sport new looks, wearing striking disco ball masks.
You can check out the new version of the track below:
Wild Youth were chosen to represent Ireland through ‘The Late Late Eurosong Special’ in February, narrowly winning over CONNOLLY’s ‘Midnight Summer Night’ by two points.
The indie rock band from Dublin has enjoyed solid chart success in Ireland — they have also toured with worldwide stars such as Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi. Conor O’Donohoe, the lead singer on “We Are One,” has also previously collaborated with The Script.
“We Are One” was co-written with Swedish songwriter Jörgen Elofsson, who has worked with other Irish bands such as Westlife and Boyzone, alongside massive names like Britney Spears.
Wild Youth will perform during the first half of the First Semi-Final on the 9th of May.
