Tonight, the finalists of Germany’s Wild Card casting show Ich will zum ESC! performed their potential ESC songs live from the Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin.
The three songs in competition tonight were:
- Anne Im – “Yellow Brick Road”
- Floryan – “Scars”
- Luca M. Wefes – “Farben neuer Tage”
After a 100% public vote, Floryan was chosen to advance to the national final with the song “Scars”!
Floryan joins eight other artists who were announced by the broadcaster last week to compete on February 16 in Eurovision Song Contest – Das deutsche Finale 2024.
Tonight’s final was hosted by Laura Karasek, and the two coaches Rea Garvey and Conchita Wurst were there to support their mentees. While there were initially four finalists slated to compete tonight, Bibiane Z was unable to compete due to illness, so her song “Walk You Home Safe” was withdrawn before the show began. This left Rea’s team with only one hope – Floryan – while Anne and Luca both represented Conchita’s team.
The full lineup for next Friday’s final will be:
- Bodine Monet – “Tears Like Rain”
- Floryan – “Scars”
- Galant – “Katze”
- Isaak – “Always On The Run”
- Leona – “Undream You”
- Marie Reim – “Naiv”
- Max Mutzke – “Forever Strong”
- NinetyNine – “Love On A Budget”
- Ryk – “Oh Boy”
