Is the Bosnian star about to make his return to the Eurovision stage in Vienna?

Bosnian website avaz.ba has posted a surprising nugget of Eurovision news if true – the Balkan nation’s most successful Eurovision artist Hari Mata Hari may be gearing up for a comeback which promises to be equally as successful as in 2006.

While no official statement or announcement from the Bosnian broadcaster BHRT has been made, the site suggests that various composers and lyricists have already been asked to pen Mata Hari’s entry, including Željko Joksimović, two-time participant for Serbia and the author of Mata Hari’s previous entry “Lejla” in 2006.

The Bosnian singer remains the nation’s most successful participant, finishing third in the contest in Athens in 2006. If the news is true (and of course nothing has been confirmed yet) it would make Mata Hari the first singer confirmed to take part in Eurovision 2015, the first Bosnian participant since 2012 and indeed the first returning artist we would see in Vienna.

Watch his 2006 entry “Lejla” performed live in Athens below;
