After a one-year hiatus, Germany will be returning to Junior Eurovision this winter in France! 2023 will mark Germany’s third participation at the contest, and they will be hoping to achieve a high placement after reaching 12th and 17th in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

This week, German children’s broadcaster KiKa elaborated on their plans for 2023, noting that this year they will internally select their act.

This year the city of Nice will host the 21st edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The first winner back in 2003 was Dino Jelusick from Croatia, and most recently the contest was won by Lissandro Formica from France.
