After teasing us last weeks with several announcements and even a snippet, we finally got the Georgian entry for this year’s contest! Tornike Kipiani is going to represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with his song “You” Without further ado, let’s listen to the song shall we?

Tornike wrote and composed “You” himself and tells us a story about the universal topic of love. He arranged the song alongside with Aleko Berdzenishvili in the Bravo Records Studio. Next to Tornike’s voice, we can also hear the vocals of the Gori Girls’ Choir, Aleko Berdzenishvili, Marian Shengelia and Mariko Lezhava in “You.”

The music video has been directed by Temo Kvirkvelia. The ballet dancer that you see in the music video are Mariam Aleksidze and her team who especially made a choreography for this. Keti Chkhikvadze was responsible for the beautiful costumes of the dancers.

Emilia Sandquist will be responsible for the stage direction of his performance in Rotterdam. She’s a member of the Baptiste Group and already created succesful performances in Melodifestivalen. She would also be responsible of Tornike’s 202o entry “Take Me As I Am,” but due the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak the contest got cancelled. Luckily, Tornike Kipiani got a second chance to fly the Georgian flag at Rotterdam this year with his song “You.” We will see Tornike back in the 2nd semi-final on the 20th of May.
