Few days to go for the national final in Georgia. Today we had time to talk to Elene Mikiashvili who will participate with the entry “Fighter”
Hello Elene! First of all thank you for your time talking to us. How are you ? Can you introduce yourselves ? What can you tell us about yourself?
Hello , I am glad to talk to you too. I am fine. Right now I have many rehearsals and I am prepearing for the final. I am Elene Mikiashvili 19 years old singer from Georgia. I starting singing since childhood, when I was 7 years old I won my first competition and from that day I never stopped. My life is music and stage and I can’t live without music.
Your song that you will be presenting for the national final in Georgia is “Fighter”. What can you tell us about the song?
My song fighter is my lovely song I really love this song, and my composers are Ylva and Linda. I think that we did a great song together with great message. The song is about figthter girl who is always fighting for success, just as I am.
What is your impression of the Eurovision Song Contest in general? Do you watch it every year? What is your favourite entry?
Honestly Eurovision has always been my dream. The first from time Georgia participated was with Sopho Khalvashi and I was a little girl and I dreamt to perform there , my favourite entries from Georgia were Eldrine and Nina Sublatti..and from other countries Mørland & Debrah Scarlett – A Monster Like Me and Loren and Conchita.
Apart from the Eurovision Song Contest , where would you dream to do a performance?
I have many dream stages but one of biggest dream is broadway stage.
What ís the best bit of advice you have ever been given?
I remember when I was maybe 8-9 years old I had a concert and my mum was standing with me behind the scenes and I was nervous and she held my hand and said “imagine that nobody is watching” and after that day I always remember those words.
what’s your biggest fear?
I am afraid of dogs.
What is a typical day like for you?
My typical day is very loaded. When I wake up I have a cup of tea or coffee, then I pray and go to the university (I study music technology in conservatory) after lessons I have rehearsals or some meetings than I meet my friends and have great time relaxing with them.
