Yes.

First you sign up, then you will get a response from me shortly hopefully with a fake genre. Then it's up to you to find any song that somehow fits the description and I will ask everyone to write a bit about why they chose this song, because I fear they might not all be obvious. After sign-up ddl there will be a short period for late sign-ups to still look for a song. After that is gone I post the show and we vote with the instruction that the song should fit the genre and that people should take this into account. Juries are free to completely disregard such orders as there is no way to enforce it, but let's just assume people aren't braindead. So let's say your genre is like 'nitromuffin' and you send a donkey on a piano it makes no sense so people might score you less for not doing your job, but if you have like some crazy fast song with muffled vocals and a story telling people that the nitro was taken for speed and the muffin for muffled they should rank the song a bit higher for you actually getting something on show that one could rightfully call the quintessential nitromuffin classic.

The deadline is for initial signup, afterwards there will be an extension of a couple of days for people who had just signed up to still find songs. Since you have already signed up, you need not worry about the deadline that was posted. The extended deadline will probably indeed be on Sunday.
