Wimbledon (besides the World Cup) is another great sport event to watch this month :D

As Scooby wrote, there r 7 Serbian players in singles, and I don't know how many in doubles (cause some of them will play doubles, too), but from our Mens doubles and Mixed doubles - Nenad Zimonjic is best, and he usually does very good. I'd be surprised if Zimonjic/Nestor don't grab the final at least.
Dusan Vemic also plays Mens doubles and he can be good sometimes.

From other Serbian players, I think only Novak Djokovic and Jelena Jankovic r able to make a relatively good result at Wimbledon at the moment.
Others SRB playes r not top10 ATP/WTA list and Ana Ivanovic isn't in shape any longer, actually she might even loose from Shahar Peer from Israel.

We have 7 players but I'm gonna cheer for Bondarenko sisters and Alexander Dolgopolov.
Our junior player topped the junior world rating yesterday so maybe this will cheer them up.
Thank gawd because of schedule changes Katerina Bondarenko won't play with Maria Sharapova :D

Ah what to say?:(
Two our men lost in the 1 st round (Marin ?ili?, our best ATP player and Ivan Ljubi?i?)! Marin is defeated by Florian Mayer, Germany and Ivan by Michal Przysiezny, Poland. The girls were more successful, Petra Marti? won Elena Baltacha (Great Britain) and Karolina Šprem was better than Bethanie Mattek - Sands (United States).

The only good point of ?ili? and Ljubi?i?'s defeating is that now they will have more time to prepare for 1/4 Davis cup final, which will be played in Split (9 th till 11 th of July)...against Serbia!

Oh, this Belgian tennis player - Olivier Rochus gave a big headache to Novak Djokovic (but it was really good game, I think audience enjoyed a lot), Djokovic won it, but Rochus played great, as well.
As expected, Ana Ivanovic is out. Janko Tipsarevic too. Other SRB players managed to the 2nd round.
In this Wimbledon I support Andy Murray the most, I'd like him to win it. I find Murray the least arrogant (out of the top4 at ATP list).

Grass is not our specialty at all, but I really hope Nadal can do it again. I don't care about the rest of Spanish players, cause they will not win anyway

GO NADAL!!!

depends of her competitors.
Masha always was the worst option for Katya xshrug
In any case Katya lost so it doesn't matter

Her sister Olena goes to the 2nd round though.
Bondarenko sisters always were much stronger as a pair anyway.

Today's results for our players:

Ivan Dodig vs Oscar Hernandez (ESP): 6:1, 6:3, 6:3

Mirjana Lu?i? vs Viktorija Azarenka (BLS): 3:6, 3:6 (pity, I hoped Mirjana can win :roll: I am still happy for her to come back, I think she still can reach good results in tennis);

Petra Marti? (CRO), Polona Hercog(SLO) vs Lisa Raymond (USA), Rennae Stubbs (AUS):: 7:6 (11), 4:6, 6:4 (pairs)

According to our commentators said it's the longest match ever in Wimbledon as well as in the tennis history :?
