That would indeed be awesome! Not only because of their great music, but they are very famous in other European countries. Then we will certainly be in the final without any doubt!
But unfortunately, I think they will never take interest in the contest and if they will, they are too busy with all their tours across Europe. And now that they are becoming famous in the USA, I don't think they will have time to be in the contest...

Besides, I think the TROS will select artists with a typical 'Dutch' image, like the 3JS this year. I think we could expect other singers from Volendam in the future, like Nick and Simon from the post above. I really think there's a big chance that we will see them next year (or in a few years).
I also heard that both The Toppers and Sieneke want to participate for a second time, because they enjoyed it so much. But I hope this will not happen!

As long as Tros will choose who has to go to the eurovision songcontest, I don't think they will choose for Within Temptation, but it would be a great choice.

That's right; TROS and Within Temptation is a ridiculous combination, but I have the feeling that the TROS will listen more to the opinion of the public next year. The last two years, we didn't had very much to say.
Sadly enough, there will be no Within Temptation next year. I dare to say: never. They said in an interview that they won't participate, because they think that their public is a different public than the ESC public. They did said though, that they would be able to write a song for the contest, so maybe that will happen someday.

I also hope that the National (Semi)Finals will come back, with non-famous artists to battle it out to be the year's entry. The last few years we did only focus on artists who were already famous in The Netherlands, while maybe there are a lot of amateurs with great ideas. We should give it a try. If it depends on the TROS, it would be Dutch carnaval-music every year, and that just doesn't work out... The 3JS were the middle between TROS music and mainstream music, but I fear that it will be TROS music every year if we don't change the format very quickly.

Ex-Partcipant Glennis Grace should go in my opinion. Her vocals are amazing and then she should go with a song in which she can show this.

i agree Within Temptation would be awesome. but i also liked the 3JS much.
i was at 2nd Semi-Final and they were great. i also seen their boat in Düsseldorf at Rhein =)

If you say so . I guess it would be like the 3J's-sequel.

But you have great singers, I hope the Tros will look at that and not only the artist from their Piratenfestijn & their festivals 'op de marktpleinen' . Good shows, but not really something for Eurovision .

They won't. The Tros confirmed that they will go on the same way as the last two years. This means that we will probably send Thomas Berge, Zanger Rinus or another act like that, next year. And we have nothing to say about it.
Now Europe thinks that Dutch people have a bad taste or that we don't have good artists. While we HAVE very good singers and a lot of people who know how to give a spectacular performance, but we are just not able to send them! And a lot of our big stars won't attend the contest, because the contest has a very bad name here and good artists will probably see it as a failure for their career... Only B and C artists want to be there...

I'm not against the fact that they want something that sounds Dutch, but the problem with Dutch music is that it is typical Dutch; people from Eastern Europe for example, will not understand it. The Tros wants something that resembles the Tros, while it has to resemble Europe. In music business, The Netherlands is well known for it's dj's and symphonic metal bands. Why not send something like that? It's not about what is popular here, but what is popular in the rest of Europe, and music-styles like this are modern, well-known in the rest of Europe and it's typical for the Dutch music industry.

It's just too bad that the Tros has all the rights for the National Song Contest and that they will keep going on with sending songs THEY like and not what the rest of the country likes... I bet we will be last again next year
