Ok, so we all know that getting the dreaded 'nil points' at Eurovision is a fate most competitors would do anything to avoid. So here's my question:

Out of the songs that have received no points over the years, which ones do you like the most? Which ones didn't deserve not to receive a single point? And in contrast, who really got what they deserved?!

Don't forget 1971 to 1973. I know it was impossible to get nul points those years, but it was theoretically possible for a country to get just the minimum 2 points from each other country. For example, in 1971 when 18 countries took part, the worst a country could have had was 2 points from each of the other 17 countries, i.e. 2 x 17 = 34 points. For the record, the complete set of minimum scores those three years are:

1971 (18 participating countries) 2 x 17 = 34 points.
1972 (18 participating countries) 2 x 17 = 34 points.
1973 (17 participating countries) 2 x 16 = 32 points.

Surely if a country had ended up with one of those minimum scores those three years, wouldn't that have been just as bad as nul points, in that no other country felt it deserved more than the minimal 2 points. Thankfully that never happened those three years.

Still wondering how the heck the juries did not see the pure magnificence of that song.
