The Netherlands is one of my favourite ESC countries too. Their entries in the Nineties were amazing most of the time, and it's probably the most underrated country in the last decade (2005, 2007, 2008 were really good songs and yet didn't get to the finals).
My all-time favourite Dutch entry is "
Hemel en Aarde" in 1998. It's absolutely stunning, and anyone can appreciate it even if they don't understand Dutch. Edsilia Rombley's voice is unique. I'm sad that she didn't manage to get through with "On Top of the World" in '07 but I prefer the Dutch version "Nooit meer zonder jou".
Other Dutch entries I like are: 1980, 1986, 1987, 1993, 1997 and Sieneke's 2010 Schlager extravaganza.
